‘Memory of a Killer’ Aims for Shocking Twist as Ferryman’s Identity Revealed Tonight

Fox’s hitman drama reaches a pivotal moment in its first season with Episode 8, “Tailored by Fabroni,” airing 23 March 2026.

TORONTO – The walls are closing in on Angelo Doyle. In tonight’s highly anticipated episode of Fox’s Memory of a Killer, the identity of the mysterious “Ferryman” will finally be unveiled, promising a “shocking twist” for Patrick Dempsey’s assassin protagonist.

Episode 8, titled “Tailored by Fabroni,” airs Monday, 23 March 2026. According to network promos and previews, the revelation threatens to upend Angelo’s carefully constructed double life and put his family in grave danger. “Major revelations threaten to upend Angelo’s family,” reads the official episode description sourced from previews.

The series, which premiered on Fox on 25 January 2026, stars Dempsey as Angelo Doyle, a contract killer living a separate life as a family man. His world is further complicated by a diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s. “When hitman Angelo is hit with early onset Alzheimer’s, his… double life begins to unravel,” the series logline states. The show has been described as a “redemptive story about a man who is losing his memory but gaining a conscience.”

Despite building a dedicated audience and finding streaming success on Hulu—where it’s been compared to a blend of Breaking Bad and John Wick—the show’s future remains uncertain. Multiple reports from this week indicate that Fox has yet to renew Memory of a Killer for a second season. The Season 1 finale is scheduled for 6 April 2026.

In a recent interview, Patrick Dempsey reflected on taking the darker role after his iconic turn as “McDreamy” on Grey’s Anatomy. “I don’t get this type of character offered often,” Dempsey told The Hollywood Reporter. The actor also paid tribute to his former co-star Eric Dane in the interview.

For Canadian viewers, new episodes air on Fox and are available for streaming the next day on Hulu. Previous episodes can also be found on fuboTV and other subscription platforms.

“Memory of a Killer delivers one of the best episodes of the season, making every detail come together,” read a review of last week’s Episode 7, “Dr. Parks,” suggesting the series is building momentum toward its climax.
