ARC Raiders Expedition 2 Rewards Guide: How to Claim Permanent Buffs

As the Shrouded Sky season reaches its peak, Embark Studios has officially detailed the overhaul for the Second Expedition in ARC Raiders. Following community feedback regarding the “steep” requirements of the inaugural event, the developer is significantly lowering the barrier to entry while introducing a new “catch-up” mechanic for those who missed out on early permanent buffs.

The Second Expedition sign-up window is scheduled to open on 25 February 2026, with the official departure and account reset (wipe) taking place on 1 March 2026.

Lowered Requirements & Skill Point Changes

The most significant change for the Second Expedition is the reduction in the Stash value required to secure permanent Skill Points. Previously requiring 5 million coins for the maximum reward, the threshold has been lowered to 3 million coins.

  • Skill Point Cost: Each of the 5 available Skill Points now costs 600,000 coins in Stash value (down from 1 million).
  • Catch-Up Mechanic: Raiders who did not earn all 5 Skill Points during the First Expedition can now “reclaim” them at a discounted rate of 300,000 coins per point.
  • Max Potential: Dedicated players can enter the next season with a total of 10 permanent Skill Points if they maximize both the First and Second Expedition rewards.

Permanent Rewards for Expedition 2

While the Expedition acts as a soft reset for your Raider’s progress, several high-value rewards carry over permanently to the next phase of the game. The confirmed rewards for the March 2026 departure include:

Reward CategoryDetails
CosmeticsNew “Scrappy” Outfit and an “Evolved” Patchwork Outfit with four additional toggles.
Stash SpaceUp to 24 additional permanent Stash Spaces.
Utility BoostsPermanent XP boosts, Scrappy material boosts, and repair value improvements.
Social StatusA unique Expedition Indicator to showcase veteran status in Speranza.

What Resets?

Players should be prepared for a near-total wipe of their current progress upon departure on 1 March. This includes the loss of all current Coins, non-permanent Stash items, and character levels. The Expedition system is designed as a “prestige” loop, allowing the developers to rebalance the economy while rewarding long-term engagement with power-ups that make the subsequent leveling process faster and more efficient.

With just over three weeks remaining until the window opens, Raiders are encouraged to focus on high-value extractions to hit the 3 million (or 4.5 million for catch-up) coin threshold before the Rust Belt tunnels open.
