Toronto Comicon 2026 in Full Swing This Weekend

Toronto’s premier pop culture celebration, Toronto Comicon, is currently underway, transforming the Metro Toronto Convention Centre into a hub for fans of comics, anime, sci-fi, and gaming. The event kicked off on Friday, 20 March 2026 and runs through Sunday, 22 March 2026.

Held in the convention centre’s North Building, the 2026 edition offers a final March Break event for families and fans. Tickets start at $30 CAD for a single-day pass, with a three-day weekend pass available for $69 CAD.

Organizers announced a last-minute guest update, confirming that actor and martial artist Ernie Reyes Jr. (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, The Last Dragon) has had a schedule change and will now be appearing for the entire weekend.

The convention floor is packed with vendors, artists, and collectibles, while panels and signings offer fans a chance to engage with creators and celebrities. As always, elaborate cosplay is a major highlight, with attendees showcasing costumes from every corner of pop culture.

Background & History

Toronto Comicon has been a staple event since its establishment as a one-day comic book convention in 2001. It has since evolved into a major multi-day gathering. The convention was originally organized by local retailer Paradise Comics before being sold to Wizard Entertainment in 2009 and subsequently relaunched.

For those planning to attend the remaining days, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is accessible via Union Station, with increased transit traffic expected throughout the weekend.
